Welcome to the Crossroads. Use the arrow keys (the W, A, S, and D keys also work) to move through this maze. (You may need to click on the maze with the mouse before you can move.) The maze changes as you move through it, changing which paths are available, in two ways:
First, when you cross a star, the maze switches between one of two modes, and the Start becomes the Finish. When you leave one side of the maze, you enter on another side, and which side you enter on depends on which of the two modes the maze is currently in. These diagrams show which sides match up in each of the two configurations:
Second, whenever you cross a rotating arrow, the circle that is near to it will rotate 90 degrees. This will open some paths while closing others.
Note to users of old browsers, especially Internet Explorer 6 for Windows: If your browser doesn't support PNG alpha transparency, you will see white boxes where transparent images should go. Most modern browsers will display this properly, including Internet Explorer 7.
